Il lavoro di Isabel Benenato è contraddistinto da una forte indipendenza stilistica e una spiccata predisposizione alla sperimentazione. La sua curiosità è tale da condurla oltre le tendenze, per rielaborare forme e creare capi unici, dai volumi inediti e asimettrici, dalle originali costruzioni ma non per questo difficili da indossare. Isabel nasce a Napoli e cresce in un contesto familiare fatto di persone ricche di ingegno e fantasia; sarà sua madre, sarta di professione, a trasmetterle l’amore e la passione per la moda. Dopo una formazione artistica e una laurea in lingue, durante la quale ha alternato diverse esperienze professionali presso piccoli atelier, Isabel decide di soggiornare a Londra per approfondire i suoi studi di moda. Al rientro in Italia comincia a collaborare con numerose aziende e in particolare con un maglificio che le consentirà di sviluppare le sue conoscenze tecniche in fatto di maglieria. Nel 2006 inizia la collaborazione stilistica con Studio44, lavorando a stretto contatto con importanti aziende italiane ed estere del settore della pelle e dell’abbigliamento. Lì nascerà l’idea di realizzare una collezione a suo nome, presentata nel 2008 nell’area Inside del salone milanese White, dove subito Isabel Benenato incontrerà il favore dei buyer. Materiali pregiati, lavorazioni esclusive e manuali uniti ad una grande tradizione artigiana sono gli ingredienti delle sue collezioni (dalla prossima stagione in vendita presso i più importanti store Italiani, Statunitensi, Giapponesi, Russi e degli Emirati). Dove filati pregiati e pelle finissima sono lavorati e trattati manualmente, per conferire alla sua maglieria una mano ed un peso unici. La capacità di non lasciarsi condizionare è all’origine della sua cifra stilistica: l’esplicita libertà creativa che caratterizza il suo intero percorso. Lo scorso Gennaio Progetto ha debuttato a Pitti Immagine Uomo, con un proprio spazio dedicato al mondo del fashion a 360°: calzature, accessori, abbigliamento, ad avvalorare l’importanza della propria presenza nel contesto internazionale. In ragione dei consensi ottenuti e dell’apprezzamento degli addetti ai lavori Progetto si ripropone a Giugno 2009, in occasione di Pitti Immagine Uomo, per presentare le sue interessanti proposte Spring-Summer 2010.

La showroom, dotata di un know-how e dell’esperienza indispensabili per una distribuzione di fascia alta, da anni costituisce un importante punto di riferimento per gli accessori di gamma e non solo… Salotto esclusivo dalla forte personalità, dove l’immagine conta e fa la differenza. Spazio in grado di combinare la proposta di rinomate case di accessori con quella di linee emergenti di abbigliamento di ricerca, stilisti italiani ed internazionali. Realtà alla costante ricerca di nuovi mood, tendenze ed interessanti interpretazioni.

Isabel Benenato’s clothing is characterised by great stylistic independence and is open to experiment.
 Her thirst for novelty enables her to surpass set trends, to design new models and create unique items which are easy to wear despite their unprecedented asymmetrical volumes and original tailoring.
 Isabel was born in Naples of a family whose members were richly endowed with imagination and inventiveness; it was her mother, a tailor by profession, who passed on to her a love and passion for fashion. After she had an artistic training, she took a university degree in modern languages; yet, while studying, Isabel had various professional experiences with small ateliers and decided to move to London to study fashion in depth. When she came back to Italy she started to collaborate with a number of firms, and in particular with a knitwear firm that enabled her to deepen her knitwear knowhow.
 In 2006 she started a collaboration with Studio44 where she came in touch with important Italian and foreign firms in the fields of leather goods and clothing. It was the time when she had the idea of realising a collection of her own; presented in 2008 in the Inside area of Milan-based White show, Isabel Benenato’s collection was favourably welcomed by buyers. 
 Valuable materials, exclusive and handmade tailoring that bear the mark of a glorious craftsmanship tradition are the ingredients of her collections (from next season available in the Emirates and at the most important Italian, American, Japanese, Russian stores). The valuable yarns and leather her knitwear is made of are hand processed and treated to give it a unique feel and weight.
 Her capacity to escape conditioning is at the root of her style, and accounts for the creative freedom that characterises the whole of her activity. Last January Progetto made their debut at Pitti Immagine Uomo, with a space of their own devoted to the overall world of fashion: footwear, accessories, clothing, to confirm the importance of their presence on the international scene. The fact that they were appreciated both by the public and pundits has led Progetto to take part in Pitti Immagine Uomo in June 2009, to present their interesting Spring-Summer 2010.
