“You will only see the art of your generation”, Magda was warned.

To show other people what we have the opportunity of seeing with our own eyes, and enable them to see things when they are still in the bud.

Magda Danysz   A gallery owner since she was seventeen, 31-year-old Magda Danysz made her choice the very moment she took this  precious piece of advice. Drawing on new artistic experiments, at a time when they were not considered artistic at all,  she planned a radical and innovative activity and in 1999  moved her gallery to the 13th Paris district, where the Bibliothéque de France is located.

The friendly, smart exhibition rooms in her Rue Durkheim gallery have displayed works by street artists like Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant ), Miss Van, Space Invader, Dalek, or digital artists like Icon Tada, Ultralab or the California-inspired pop surrealist works by Mark Ryder and Marion Peck etc.

From February 24th to March 17th 2007 the VideoShow project will continue its performances with shorts ranging from artistic videos to videoclips open to experiment and veejaying. From March 14th to April 14th Icon Tada will present his Videopaintings as well as his latest digital paintings, the result of mathematical operations as opposed to traditional painting gestures. From April 21st to May 26th 2007 Mike Giant, a skilled black-ink artist, a tattooer and graffitist will  exhibit  interesting works combining Mexican folklore and Japanese pictorial art.
