Kolor
Kolor ha dimostrato la sua forte originalità fin dalla sua prima collezione di 05SS, ed è oggi diventato uno dei must sia nella moda giapponese che di quella parigina. Ciascuna delle collezioni del marchio, tuttavia, non ha alcun tema stagionale, e il suo stilista, Junichi Abe, è riuscito a definire lo stile di Kolor di stagione in stagione. Lo stile del marchio si esprime anche nel loro negozio flagship che ha aperto a Tokyo nel luglio scorso, un luogo di grande tranquillità non ostante sia ubicato nel seminterrato di un edificio residenziale piuttosto vecchio nel cuore di un quartiere della moda. L’interno è caratterizzato dalla grande armonia creata da una moquette azzurra, le pareti di mattoni e l’uso di metallo e legno. La combinazione di materiali diversi e un diffuso senso di benessere sono i tratti che il negozio in generale e gli abiti in particolare hanno in comune, due elementi che consentono ai clienti di avvertire l’orientamento del marchio nel negozio. Il marchio non comunica né ansia né pretenziosità, in quanto Junichi Abe è riuscito a creare abiti che fondono con delicatezza moda e comodità, tratto distintivo dello stilista giapponese. Ciò che rende Kolor tanto speciale, specie se paragonato ad altri negozi, è il gusto squisito dello stilista in creazioni che non si possono trovare in nessun altro luogo.
Kolor has been showing its strong originality ever since its first collection of 05SS, and has now become one of the ‘must’ brands both in the Tokyo and the Paris fashion scenes. Each of the brand’s collections, however, does not have any seasonal theme, and its designer, Junichi Abe has succeeded in defining Kolor’s style season by season. The brand’s style is also reflected in their first flagship store which opened in Tokyo in July this year, a quiet place, despite it is located in the basement of a rather old residential building in the heart of a fashion area. The interior is characterised by the great harmony created by a blue carpet, the brick walls and the use of metal and wood. The combination of different materials and a pervading feeling of comfort are two of the features that the store in general and its clothing in particular have in common, two elements that enable visitors to feel the brand’s direction in the store. The brand is neither edgy nor pretentious, in that Junichi Abe has been able to create clothing that delicately merges fashion and comfort, a combination which is the Japanese designer’s mark of distinction. What makes Kolor so special, if compared to other stores, is the designer’s exquisite taste in creations nowhere else to be found.
