Al suo ritorno in Francia mette a punto uno scarpone maschile, il leggendario Michael, particolarmente robusto dotato di una suola in hevea, lattice estratto dall’albero di caucciù, fissata alla tomaia tramite una doppia cucitura, alla norvegese, su una banda di cuoio. Oggi come allora i modelli Paraboot sono realizzati interamente a mano, con un procedimento che richiede ben 150 passaggi e unisce la tecnica norvegese alla lavorazione goodyear, dando vita a calzature confortevoli, impermeabili, traspiranti e dalla suola ultraresistente; Paraboot è l’unica azienda del settore che sceglie di non esternalizzare la produzione delle suole, dando prova di una qualità difficilmente eguagliabile. In 1919, during a trip to the United States, Remy Richard Pontvert had the idea of introducing natural rubber in the production of boots, an extraordinary material that can make footwear almost indestructible. When he got back to France, he designed a particularly strong men’s boot, the legendary Michael, and supplied it with a sole in hevea, the latex obtained from the rubber tree, fixed to the vamp the Norwegian way by double stitch on a leather band. Since then Paraboot models have been completely hand made, with a 150-stage procedure that combines the Norwegian and Goodyear techniques to obtain comfortable, waterproof, breathable footwear of matchless quality with an extra resistant sole. The brand manufactures a wide men’s and women’s collection of footwear with classic, casual, outdoor and more updated proposals, like the Avoriaz model, that draws its inspiration from new trends and combines tradition and originality: a trekking boot which keeps offering quality and comfort but is newly interpreted and updated to provide a truly modern fashion product.
