‘S Max Mara- Welcome to the Cube

Sono trascorsi tre anni da quando Max Mara, con la linea ‘S, ha introdotto una nuova icona, in grado di sintetizzare la filosofia del marchio e al contempo i tratti distintivi dell’easy living.
Un piumino nato dalla volontà di creare un capo senza tempo e dall’identità stilistica chiara, fin dal packaging: il caratteristico cubo o meglio the cube. Una forma “tridimensionale” come la ricerca svolta dall’azienda in termini di materiali, volumi e soluzioni altamente tecnologiche. Un oggetto in grado di contenere il capo al momento della vendita ma anche di presentarlo… di svelarlo. Fin dalla prima collezione l’interprete visivo della collezioni targate “S” è stato il celebre Max Farago, in grado, di volta in volta, di sintetizzare l’essenzialità e il minimalismo formale di questi capi, contestualizzandoli in ambiente urbani e prospettive architettoniche inedite. La fruttuosa collaborazione tra Max Mara e Farago, una delle più importanti firme della fotografia internazionale (I-D, Dazed and Confused, Elle…), prosegue anche per la SS 2011. Scatti vivaci che hanno come protagonista, il Summer Cube, versione estiva dell’iconico piumino ‘S e che sono diventati oggetti dell’esposizione fotografica di Max Mara presso lo Spazio Lazzari dal 7 Dicembre 2010 al 28 Febbraio 2011.

It is now three years since Max Mara, with the line ‘S, introduced a new icon that could merge the brand’s philosophy and the typical features of ‘easy living’.
What they wanted to create with this duvet jacket was a timeless item with a precise stylistic identity involving its very packaging: its characteristic cube. A form which is three-dimensional just as the research the Firm carries out in terms of materials, volumes, and highly technological solutions. An object that can contain the item when it is sold, but has also the power to present it…to reveal it. Since they first appeared the collections’ visual interpreter has been famous Max Farago, who can from time to time merge the essential character and the formal minimalism of the items by setting them against urban contexts and unprecedented architectural views. The fruitful collaboration between Max Mara and Farago, one of the leading international photographers (I-D, Dazed and Confused, Elle…) will continue also in the Summer season 2011. The protagonist of their shots is the Summer Cube, a summer version of the duvet ‘S. The photos will be on display in Max Mara’s exhibition at Lazzari Space from December 7th 2010 to February 28th 2011.
