Giovanni Vecchiato – Io sono qui
“Io sono qui, diario dal Sud America” (“I am here, diary from South America”) is the story of a dream pursued for twenty years and finally realized: a solo journey of 10,400 km by motorcycle through Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia and Chile, to Ushuaia, the “End of the World”.

In this journey, Giovanni Vecchiato interweaves landscapes and introspection, transforming the adventure into an inner journey between memory, identity and rebirth. Between the silences of the Andes and the memories of his father,
the journey becomes a reflection on time, bonds and the sense of leaving to find oneself. A photographer and narrator, Vecchiato combines aesthetic gaze, empathy and rigor, recounting life as an act of knowledge and awareness.
“Io sono qui” (“I am here”) is a diary, a confession and a declaration of presence: an invitation not to stop pursuing one’s dreams and to find oneself in the distance.
