Tretorn

A più di cent’anni dalla sua nascita, nel 1891, Tretorn torna con delle calzature sportive dalle forme classiche e un design senza tempo. Il marchio svedese che ha legato in passato la sua notorietà agli stivali di gomma da outdoor e ai campi da tennis, si è affermato dapprima soprattutto in Nord Europa. Illuminata realtà industriale, già nel 1902 Tretorn attua programmi di diversificazione del prodotto, dalle scarpe alle palle da gioco, ai pneumatici, diventando con i suoi 8000 dipendenti una delle più grandi aziende del tempo. Nel 1930 sviluppa una linea completa di calzature sportive e già nel ’64 presenta la prima scarpa tecnica in pelle, raggiungendo poi la notorietà a livello mondiale negli anni 70, quando le Tretorn saranno calzate dall’incontrastato Bjorn Borg, nel modello Nylite.
Per la Primavera-Estate 2007, con uno stile aggiornato e nuovi brillanti colori Uomo e Donna, Tretorn propone un’interessante rivisitazione di alcuni modelli classici: la splendida T56, in canvas lavato e dalla caratteristica suola vulcanizzata, la stessa Nylite Sail in edizione limitata, realizzata questa volta riciclando vele da barca dalla particolare lucentezza e il Thule Mid, classico stivale di gomma da caccia e pesca, tipicamente contraddistinto dalla suola squadrata a contrasto, interamente fatto a mano, 100% impermeabile, imbottito in lana. Capitalizzando il proprio know how nella lavorazione della gomma e prendendo il largo dal basico bianco tennis, Tretorn investe oggi, con i medesimi principi di un tempo, su un design rinnovato ed un range di proposte ispirate al piacere rilassato del classico stile da barca: eleganza casual e semplicità contemporanea.
“When recollections and heartfelt traditions become entwined, and sport images come to our mind as if from the pages of old magazines.” Over a century after it was born in 1891, Tretorn now re-edits the timeless design of its classic sports footwear. The Swedish brand, whose renown was in the past connected to its rubber boots for outdoor activities, and to tennis courts, first became successful in the north of Europe. As early as 1902, this enlightened firm carried out plans to diversify production which came to include footwear, tennis balls, tyres and, with its 8,000 workers, became one of the leading industries of the day. In 1930 it developed a complete line of sports footwear, then as early as 1964 it presented the first sports leather shoes, to gain world renown in the ‘70s when Tretorn Nylite model was worn by unparalleled Bjorn Borg.
For the Spring-Summer season 2007, Tretorn proposes an interesting edition of a few updated classical Men’s and Women’s models in new bright colours: splendid T56, in washed canvas with vulcanised soles, Nylite Sail in limited edition, realised by recycling shining boat sails, and Thule Mid, the classic 100% waterproof, wool-lined, fishing and hunting rubber boots, with squared out contrasting soles, entirely made by hand. Making the most of their know how in rubber processing, Treton have left basic tennis white aside, and now base their activity on their classic standards, currently investing on renewed designs, with a range of proposals aimed at casual elegance and updated simplicity, the relaxing pleasures of the classic boating style.
