C’è il paradosso all’origine della moda concettuale di dMajuscule. D maiuscola di Davor Mutic, e D maiuscola di Designer. L’iniziale, non il nome. La costruzione del difetto. L’accuratezza nel ricercare qualcosa di imperfetto, perché l’imperfezione è caratteristica di tutto ciò che appartiene alla natura. La glocalità dell’ispirazione di Davor Mutic (serbo per nascita, norvegese per formazione, italiano per esperienza, internazionale nello spirito) che dà vita a uno stile senza confini, minimale, dalle linee essenziali e pulite. E il design come rappresentazione artificiale della cosa più naturale che c’è: l’anima. Il mood di dMajuscule prende le mosse dagli angoli nascosti dell’animo umano, dalle storie più intime e inespresse. E che proprio per il loro non essere condivise, rimangono pure. Perché ciò che parte da dentro è spontaneo, vero, assoluto. Abiti che distruggono gli stereotipi di genere ma ne esaltano l’identità. Linee essenziali e rigorose in cui trovano spazio asimmetrie e divagazioni appena accennate, mai gridate. Abiti che respirano, attraverso tagli inusuali, tessuti leggeri ma corposi, volumi mai scontati… abiti che si raccontano: atti finali di altrettanti percorsi creativi sempre diversi, in cui, a detta di Mutic stesso, quello che conta non è la meta, ma il viaggio. Il progetto. dMajuscule è distribuito da Progetto. “Progettare” significa proiettarsi in avanti, immaginare quello che s’intende fare, estrarre da sé un’idea e accompagnarla alla realizzazione. Progetto parte dalla vocazione di una nuova concezione di showroom, è una narrazione, uno spazio fisico duttile ed elegante che diventa anche spazio mentale, dove l’oggetto appare in armonia con l’ambiente che lo circonda.
What underlies the origin of dMajuscule’s conceptual fashion is paradox. Capital D for Davor Mutic, and capital D for Designer. The initial, not the name. The creation of flaws. The accuracy in seeking something imperfect, because imperfections are typical features of all that belongs to nature. Davor Mutic’s global inspiration (this internationallyminded stylist is Serbian by birth, had his formative training in Norway, and an Italian experience background) is the source of his peculiar style, a minimal style that knows no boundaries, whose lines are essential and neat. Design as the artificial representation of the most natural of things: the soul. dMajuscule’s mood comes from the depths of the human mind, from stories that are at once intimate and unexpressed, which preserve their purity precisely because they are not shared, for, all that overflows from the soul is spontaneous, true and absolute. Clothes whose identity is enhanced because they destroy genre stereotypes. Essential, rigorous lines that offer hints of whims and asymmetrical traits that never show off. The unusual cuts, the light but compact fabrics, the original volumes make the clothes airy…. with a story of their own to tell. The final stages in ever different creative adventures in which, as Mutic himself says, the really important thing is not the destination, but the journey, the project. dMajuscule is distributed by Progetto. “To project” means to “throw oneself forward”, to imagine what we are going to do, to conceive an idea and see it to its fulfilment. Progetto’s starting point is a new conception of showroom, regarded as a narration, a flexible, elegant physical space which becomes a mental space, where fashion items are in harmony with the surrounding environment.
