The Sprout and Other stories is an editorial project by Leonardo De Marchi, graphic designer and visual artist based in the Venice area, Italy.
The Sprout and Other stories was developed combining a range of materials, with the aim of creating a non-exhaustive description and depiction of possible worlds. An ‘organic-booksequence’ divided in three chapters, each one composed by juxtaposing drawings with textual materials – the latter written under the pseudonym Jester U. (or Jester Umbra). It is the first project published by Bloom fase, a platform founded by Leonardo De Marchi himself, dedicated to publishing
and releasing content in different forms. You can currently find it at Rile books in Brussels, Paint it Black in Turin, Zoetrope in Athens, Bruno in Venice, and on the platform’s bandcamp page (bloomfase.bandcamp.com).
