Trippen – traces of a journey

Trippen was born during the ecological movement of the early nineties and continues its innovative journey still today. Our goal has always been to combine good design and sustainability. We realized very early that the true sustainability of a product does not only depend on the product itself, but also its consumers. Even a fully sustainable product can be consumed too much or used too little.

Trippen shoes are designed to be timeless, and ever avant-garde. From the minimal to the experimental, each model is made to last – transcending seasons and outliving trends to instead grow with their wearer as they journey through life. To enable this, Trippen uses materials that promise longevity and beautiful ageing. A comfortable fit is the foundation of a long journey. But after time materials will wear out, the sole being the part that inevitably will wear down.

Looking ahead Trippen has designed its first and all following soles, not as the construction base, but as a separate and exchangeable part. An important part of our sustainability concept therefore is our Repair workshop, where we enhance the lifetime of worn shoes. No matter which model or which style. Just send them to our Repair shop and we can bring them back to life. Whether a Resoling or renewing zips or stitching. Almost everything is replaceable.
This is real sustainability.
