About SS 25 – “Nettings” In this era marked by the global effects of human action on the planet, the hidden kingdom of fungi gives us a lesson in resilience, adaptability and cooperation. Neither vegetal nor animal, mushrooms are underground messengers putting trees and plants in communication with each other. They allow even different species to exchange information, nutrients and alarm signals. They themselves, incapable of photosynthesis, offer water, minerals, chemical elements in exchange for sugars and CO2. After millions of years spent living on Earth testing survival techniques, mushrooms teach us that networking, collaborating rather than competing or fighting, is the only truly win-win strategy: everyone does something for mutual survival.

Trippen has chosen to do its part by translating environmental sustainability into durable footwear, made of replaceable and recyclable components, reducing production waste as much as possible. Each pair of Trippen can be resoled multiple times without compromising quality. Solar panels supply the factory in Zehdenick, Brandenburg with clean energy.

There is no shortage of development of vegan and biodegradable prototypes. Collection after collection, Trippen honors its most challenging and distinctive mission: to create excellent footwear with an increasingly lighter (environmental) footprint.
