ART AT LAZZARI: HANNAH GAUNTLETT

The Anglo-Italian artist Hannah Gauntlett reflects on the connections between human beings, cities and buildings. She uses a mixture of techniques, such as photo transfer, collage, engraving on various media (canvas, wood, metal plates…). The two series Urban Life and Urban Silence express this contrast between people and context. When a city slows down and empties at certain times of the day, urban spaces become existential places of silence and solitude.
