A pioneer in the design and manufacture of coffee machines since the early 20th century, La Marzocco keeps being an outstanding innovator, yet remains true to the roots that led the Bambi brothers to become prominent in Italy and worldwide.
The ‘Accademia del Caffè Espresso’, the historic and symbolic location that used to house La Marzocco’s old factory, now hosts the Firm’s museum and archive, a greenhouse coffee plantation, the labs devoted to formation and the Officine Fratelli Bambi: the Accademia’s mainstays in a unit characterized by the merging of passion, competence and formation. A visionary project designed by La Marzocco, aimed at taking in all the facets of coffee culture, at linking all the protagonists in the coffee production system and at openly and globally spreading the resulting knowledge.
The Accademia del Caffè Espresso ’s basic objective is the creation of an ideal bridge, a link between producers and consumers, a virtuous and sustainable system from which all the protagonists involved may equitably benefit. Located within the Accademia, on the hills surrounding Florence, the Officine Fratelli Bambi combine the tradition and technology that have made La Marzocco outstanding all along. The spaces and labs in the interiors create new synergies, and in their varied spread of espresso coffee culture they come to include traditional cookery, design and history.
